Call for applications (September 2021)

Basic information

  • This call offers support for preperation of three new courses in the Doctoral School of Wrocław University of Science and Technology (WUST).
  • The new course must be in English and should last 30 hours. The course may include various teaching options, including a lecture and a seminar. The course may be developed by one person ("Author") or a team ("Authors"). In the case of a team, a team leader should be identified and he will be the main person responsible for the preparation of the course. All authors should be WUST employees.
  • The developed course must be included in the offer of courses available at the WUST Doctoral School starting from winter semester 2022/2023.
  • Financial support for the preparation of one course includes remuneration in the amount of PLN 24 000 (gross/gross salary). The amount of remuneration is determined pursuant to applicable laws (i.e., taxes) and regulations of WUST. In the case of a team of authors, the renumeration is divided according to the indicated percentage contribution of each author.
  • The application submission deadline is 15 September 2021.

Submission procedure

The application with required attachments should be sent by WUST employee to email address: interdocschool@pwr.edu.pl. The application should be sent as two pdf files: one pdf as a scan of the application with the required signatures, and second pdf as the application without signatures. We kindly ask you to send the scan as a pdf file, documents in the form of photos or image files will not be accepted.


Deadlines

  • The application submission deadline is 15 September 2021.
  • Competition results will be announced till 11 October 2021.
  • The course (i.e., a course syllabus and didactic materials (script, multimedia presentations, video materials, etc.)) must be prepered till 1 June 2022.

Application evaluation criteria

The applications will be evaluated by a three-person committee consisting of members of the Doctoral School Council. The committee awards points on a scale of 0-10 for each criterion. The final result is a weighted sum taking into account the weights applied to individual criteria. The best two applications (with the highest ranking) will be awarded.
