Basic information

• This call offers doctoral students of our Doctoral School:
  • 3 foreign research trips (research visit) for a period of 3 months.
  • 3 foreign research trips (research visit) for a period of 1 month.
• The application submission deadline is 9 November 2021.
• The research trip granted in this call should be started in the period 1 January 2022 – 30 June 2022, however it may end after 30 June 2022.
• The InterDocSchool project provides financial support for accommodation, living costs and travel expenses (flat rate) according to regulations of NAWA.
• The scientific plan of the trip must be confirmed by the mentor (host person).
• The destination of the research trip must be a scientific institution located in an OECD country.

Submission procedure

The application with required attachments should be sent by email to address: interdocschool@pwr.edu.pl. The application should be sent as two pdf files: one pdf as a scan of the application with the required signatures, and second pdf as the application without signatures. We kindly ask you to send the scan as a pdf file, documents in the form of photos or image files will not be accepted.

The required attachments are:

• CV of the mentor (host person).
• Approval of the research trip scientific plan by the mentor (host person).

Deadlines

• The application submission deadline is 9 November 2021.
• Competition results will be announced till 30 November 2021.
• The research visit granted in this call should be implemented in the period 1 January 2022 – 30 June 2022. If it is not possible to carry out the research trip within the period indicated by the doctoral student (e.g., due to a pandemic and travel restrictions), the doctoral student (beneficiary) may apply to the InterDocSchool Project Manager for the change of the date of the trip. The new date for the implementation of the foreign research trip may not exceed the completion date of the project, i.e., December 31, 2023.

Application evaluation criteria

The applications will be evaluated by a three-person committee consisting of members of the Doctoral School Council. The committee awards points on a scale of 0-10 for each criterion. The final result is a weighted sum taking into account the weights applied to individual criteria. The best three applications (with the highest ranking) for each length of the research trip will be awarded.
