InterDocSchool

1st Call for applications (September 2021)

Basic information

  • This call offers doctoral students of our Doctoral School 6 scholarships for academic year 2021/2022.
  • The amount of the scholarship is about PLN 4 266 (gross) per month.
  • The scholarship is awarded for one academic year (12 months) and is paid monthly.
  • A doctoral scholarship financed by the InterDocSchool project may be awarded:
    • The best foreign doctoral students undergoing education at the Doctoral School of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
    • The best doctoral students from Poland undergoing education at the Doctoral School of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and carrying out their doctoral dissertation in international cooperation and aiming at obtaining a joint degree or double degree.
  • A foreign doctoral student is:
    • a foreigner who is a graduate of first, second degree studies or uniform master’s degree studies, completed in a foreign institution;
    • a foreigner who is a graduate of second degree studies completed in a Polish institution or
    • a Pole who is a graduate of second degree studies, completed in a foreign institution, who has positively passed the recruitment process organised by the Applicant.
  • The doctoral scholarship financed under the InterDocSchool project replaces the doctoral scholarship paid by the university, i.e., the InterDocSchool scholarship is awarded as a doctoral scholarship in accordance with Art. 209 of the Act on Higher Education and Science.
  • Payment of the doctoral scholarship financed from the InterDocSchool project may be made after the doctoral student has submitted an individual research plan.
  • A doctoral student who receives a doctoral scholarship from other sources outside the university (including the "Implementation doctorate" programme, NCN, NAWA, FNP projects) cannot apply for the doctoral scholarship financed under the InterDocSchool project.
  • The application submission deadline is 15 September 2021.

Submission procedure

The application should be sent as two pdf files: one pdf as a scan of the application with the required signatures, and second pdf as the application without signatures. We kindly ask you to send the scan as a pdf file, documents in the form of photos or image files will not be accepted.


Deadlines

  • The application submission deadline is 15 September 2021.
  • Competition results will be announced till 11 October 2021.

Application evaluation criteria

The applications will be evaluated by a three-person committee consisting of members of the Doctoral School Council. The committee awards points on a scale of 0-10 for each criterion. The final result is a weighted sum taking into account the weights applied to individual criteria. The best six applications (with the highest ranking) will be awarded.
