Seminar of Joseph Daniel Gbubele after a research trip to Aarhus University Denmark

Date: 20.11.2022

Joseph Daniel Gbubele, a PhD student in Chemical Sciences, will present a seminar titled "Asymmetric Domino-reactions towards Norcarane Structures through the Combination of Dienamine Catalysis and the (Pseudo)-halogen Effect." Presenting the results of an InterDocSchool three-month research stay at Aarhus University's Department of Chemistry in Denmark, under the supervision of Professor Karl Anker Jørgensen. The seminar will be held on November 24, 2022, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m at A3 building room 321/323 (III floor). The primary objective of this research is to push the boundaries of (pseudo)-halogen effect in combination with asymmetric aminocatalysis in the synthesis of norcarane scaffolds with four stereocenters, two of which are all carbon quaternary centers, and these scaffolds have biological activity in natural compounds.
