Natalia Pudełko-Malik – a doctoral student in chemical science  – will deliver a seminar „Brain glycogen metabolism in the context of astrocyte and neurons cooperation and memory formation” presenting the results of the InterDocSchool 3-month research stay at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Center for Human Nutrition and Department of Pharmacology under supervision of Prof. Shawn C. Burgess. The seminar will be held at 9:00-9:45 on 23.09.2022 in zoom platform (link available for all interested upon request). The main goal of this proposal was to analyze the substrate exchange between astrocytes and neurons with particular emphasis on the astrocyte-neuron lactate shuttle (ALNS) and role of glycogenolysis in that process.
