Pawel Zielonka – a doctoral student in mechanical engineering – will deliver a seminar  “Application of the Representative Volume Element in hybrid fibre reinforced polymer structure investigation” presenting the results of the InterDocSchool month research stay at University of Porto (Portugal), under the supervision of prof. Jose Correia. The seminar will be held at 15:00 on 28.07.2023 in zoom platform (link available for all interested upon request). The main objective of this research visit was to develop the computational techniques to investigate various hybrid microstructures with a random distribution of the fibres. The outcome from the analysis will be used to select several structures to further manufacturing and mechanical testing.
